About This Station
The station is powered by a Davis Vantage Vue weather station. The data is collected every 2.5 seconds and the site is updated every 5-6 seconds. This site and its data is collected using Cumulus Software. The station is comprised of an anemometer, a rain gauge and a thermo-hydro sensor situated in the most optimal position for the area. It's worth bearing in mind that this is in no way a professionally set up station, so as always, do not use the information from this website for any important decisions. If you're just interested in the wind direction etc, then you're probably OK.
About Penybont
Penybont is a small hamlet in Carmarthenshire, around 15 mins drive from St Clears, 20 minutes from Carmarthen, 45 minutes from Haverfordwest and 1 hour 30 minutes from Cardiff.
Penybont is very, very small and it is quite possible to miss it if you blink whilst passing. The station is based on top of a hill which is probably the highest part of Penybont.
